Job description

Celerion is hiring for a remote Director, Business Development in the United States. Preferably, this person will live and have experience with sales on the East Coast. 

The Director, Business Development will promote and sell all Celerion Lines of Business with emphasis on Early Clinical Studies and supporting services including PK/Biostats and Bioanalytical services. 

This role offers a base salary plus an industry leading commission structure and room for growth with strong performance.

Essential Functions:
  • Cultivate new business opportunities for all Celerion services.
  • Utilize a variety of tools and databases to find new company targets and establish multi-level relationships in those accounts.
  • Utilize Manager and internal Subject Matter Experts during entire sales process from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Manage accounts in company database including profile development and activity documentation.
  • Apply knowledge of market segments, competition, and regulations as well as current trends to manage assigned territory.
  • Develop and carry out territory plan.
  • Recognize opportunities to cross-sell and leverage internal relationships to facilitate and pursue opportunities.

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in life science or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of pharmaceutical/CRO sales experience or postgraduate training in one of our areas of expertise required.
  • Early Clinical/PK business development experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to represent Celerion professionally at all times.
  • Proven ability to manage time and prioritize activities.
