Job description

About Peerspace

Peerspace invites people to find, share, and book the most magical spaces in the world. Since 2014, our community has been opening the door to thousands of spaces - from lofts and mansions to storefronts and studios – helping people to create one-of-a-kind experiences that would not be possible elsewhere. In total, over 5 million people have been welcomed into a Peerspace location, and we're looking for people who want to help us reach the next 50 million.

Peerspace is proudly certified as a Great Place to Work™, and we're a remote-first company with team members located in cities around the globe.

The Role

You’ll join a product development pod and be involved throughout the product development process. You’ll collaborate closely with our Experience Director and Product Manager to translate strategy and research insights into concepts. You’ll create prototypes for research, generate iterative recommendations with options for product reviews, and produce designs using our design system to handoff to our developers.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for an inquisitive and collaborative product designer, as this role will need to team up with their pod daily. You should be comfortable asking many questions and showing rather than telling when it comes to design ideas and recommendations.
Design high-quality solutions (we use Figma) that meet the needs of customers and the business.
Creating prototypes for moderated and unmoderated research. (You will not be responsible for conducting research but should be comfortable working with research.)
Ability to define requirements throughout the design process.
Design influences our product requirements. You must be comfortable collaborating and recommending UI states to address our use-cases and edge-cases.
Adapting and enhancing information architecture to accommodate shifting needs
Promote and advocate for design and accessibility throughout the project.

Qualifications:

Optimistic attitude to solve problems through design, collaboration, feedback, and iteration.
Comfortable collaborating with a fully-remote team in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort working with Design Systems and working through governance.
Ability to design and prototype in Figma and, if needed, ProtoPie.
Strong UI, UX, and visual design skills and experience using a design system and working through design system governance.
You will be designing for desktop web, mobile web, and mobile (iOS and Android.)
3+ years of experience as a UX or product designer.

Diversity

At Peerspace, we're dedicated to creating a team that's diverse, equitable and inclusive. Our workplace is a space where all team members are empowered to blaze their own trail, make things happen, and take pride in their work. We believe bringing people together from different backgrounds and identities makes us stronger and better serves the Peerspace community. We'd especially like to encourage applicants from different backgrounds, locations and experiences.
