Clinical Supervisor for Adolescent Mental Healthcare

AMFM Healthcare is looking for a Clinical Supervisor to add to our incredible team at Mission Prep Healthcare, our premier residential adolescent program in Rancho Palos Verdes! We are looking for someone to supervise 3 to 6 interns and trainees weekly while providing group and individual/triadic supervision.

The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the overall clinical operations within a designated region. The Clinical Supervisor will supervise personnel and enforce organizational, regulatory, and accreditation policies and procedures. The Clinical Supervisor is expected to perform various administrative tasks and demonstrate leadership, professional ethics, and ensure quality service delivery to persons served and their families. The Clinical Supervisor oversees the care and treatment of all clients in Mission Prep’s programs that have been designated to be under their scope of responsibility. The  Clinical Supervisor upholds the integrity of the clinical philosophy, clinical programming, and client care. The Clinical Supervisor will provide supervision that is therapeutically challenging and engaging for the clients while also meeting payor and regulatory requirements. 

Schedule: Thursdays from 1:00pm-3:00pm for group supervision. Flexibility with individual supervision needed as well.

Location: Remote eligible or in Rancho Palos Verdes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The  Clinical Supervisor will possess skills and knowledge of the operations of a multi-care level facility and multi-disciplinary clinical treatment team. The  Clinical Supervisor will be familiar with a variety of therapeutic modalities and have a thorough understanding of Evidence-Based Treatment practices. This individual will be familiar with best practices for relevant levels of care and environments. The  Clinical Supervisor will possess managerial and supervisory skills and utilize these skills on a daily basis.

1. Must be 21 years or older to apply for this position.

2. 2+ years experience working in a behavioral health setting providing clinical supervision.

3. Minimum Qualifications – Licensed clinician (LMFT, LCSW, Psy. D) with experience in a mental health treatment environment. 

4. Preferred Qualifications – Master’s level Licensed Professional Clinician experienced with treatment of co-occurring disorders, insurance clinical and billing practices, and clinical supervision. Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance in Licensing and Certification with the Department of Health. 

5. Successful completion of the ADP Selective Screening Services background check as well as any other state, federal or company required background/record check.

6. CPR/First Aid Certification

7. Current T.B. clearance

8. Physical Requirements: Ability to work on a computer/keyboard, use electronic systems, communicate with others through written and verbal formats, ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time, ability to climb stairs, listening, reading comprehension, lifting up to 20 lbs.the essential functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Ability to communicate with family members, clients, and other staff members professionally and respectfully.

6. Knowledge of clinical and medical terminology as it relates to the delivery of clinical care to the clients within our programs as required by our payers. 

7. Knowledge of the clinical, medical, and miscellaneous services provided to the clients.

8. Working clinical knowledge of managed care and commercial health insurance medical necessity criteria for admission, continued stay, and discharge. 

9. Work in a faced-paced environment; make independent decisions, communicate effectively when dealing with clients, families, staff, and other stakeholders of AMFM Healthcare.

10. Refined and well-organized multi-tasking skills and in-depth problem-solving abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Uphold and enforce the agency’s standards, policies and procedures, client rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct, and take on additional duties as needed.

2. Collaboratively develop and oversee treatment experiences that meet the needs of clients struggling with mental health disorders and ensure all licensure and Joint Commission standards are met and facilitate clinical review for surveys and audits

3. Support, through supervision, the Clinical Supervisor with management of their clinical and managerial responsibilities. 

4. Ensure clinicians complete necessary documentations.. As assigned, Carry case load of individual clients to complete weekly individual sessions, ensuring all clinical documentation requirements are completed within designated timelines. 

5. Develop and cultivate an environment based on person-centered philosophy and culturally sensitive to client needs, and lead, direct, and motivate staff to successful completion of goals.

6. Report routinely, to the Executive Team on the status and progress of the program's clinical activities, staff, and individual clients.

7. Collaborate with admissions, company leadership, and other stakeholders on ensuring an effective and timely process for evaluating clinical eligibility is established.

8. Assist in the recruitment, hiring, training, and supervision of clinically oriented administrative and direct clinical care staff, as well as contracted individuals rendering clinical services to the clients within the program. 

9. Responsible for continuous quality management and performance improvement in the clinical department and assisting Human Resources with staff conflicts, disciplinary action, and termination, if necessary. Perform 90 day and annual performance evaluation of assigned supervisees.

10. Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with subordinate staff, supervisors, utilization review, managed health care clinicians, medical and mental health professionals.
