Satcom Direct Government is seeking a Key Accounts Manager-Airforce with a strong background in military aviation, government contracting, and satellite communications (SATCOM).

The right candidate will play a critical role in leading business development initiatives, managing government contracts, and overseeing program execution. SATCOM engineering expertise from tactical to operational levels is essential, as is experience in government contract execution and management.

How will you make a difference?

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Presidential Airlift, strategic airlift, and government aviation sectors
  • Develop and execute growth strategies aligned with DoD, MAJCOM, and Air Force procurement requirements
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, military commands, and industry partners
  • Leverage SATCOM expertise to shape and influence future airborne connectivity and communication requirements

Program & Contract Management:

  • Lead the execution and management of government contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and regulations
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of programs, from proposal development through contract award, execution, and sustainment
  • Serve as a liaison between the military, industry, and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and execution of projects
  • Create and manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables to meet program objectives

Technical & Operational Expertise:

  • Provide technical guidance on SATCOM solutions, including integration and operational employment for airborne platforms
  • Support the development of mission-critical communication and network solutions for Presidential and strategic airlift operations
  • Work closely with engineering teams to define capabilities, requirements, and technology roadmaps
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with airborne connectivity, cybersecurity, and operational readiness

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of military experience, with direct experience in Presidential Airlift Support (C-37, C-32, VC-25A/B, C-17)
  • 2-3 years of government contract execution and management experience
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time
  • Must be located in or near St. Louis, MO
  • Active Secret Security Clearance and eligibility for Top Secret Clearance is required, Top Secret Clearance preferred

Required Skills, Talents & Experience:

  • Experience at the MAJCOM or higher-level in requirements development and acquisition
  • SATCOM engineering-level knowledge with experience in tactical through operational employment
  • Ability to translate operational needs into strategic business opportunities
  • Solid understanding of DoD acquisition processes, requirements development, and program execution
  • Proven ability to develop business strategies, lead cross-functional teams, and execute complex programs

Preferred Skills, Talents & Experience:

  • Has worked with Presidential Airlift Group (PAG), Air Mobility Command (AMC), or Special Air Mission (SAM) aircraft operations
  • Familiarity with secure airborne communications, cybersecurity, and network integration
  • Strong industry connections in government contracting, aerospace, and defense technology

Equal Pay Disclosure(s)

Base Pay:

128,000.00 - 160,000.00 USD Annual

Target Annual Short-Term Incentive:

Bonus Plan at 10% (% of Annualized Base Pay)
