Summary of Job Duties:
The Clinical Services Manager (CSM) at the UAMS Institute for Community Health and Innovation in South Arkansas plays a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of the clinical care team. This team provides preventive care, prenatal, and women’s health care on the mobile health unit and home visits in a community-based setting. The CSM is responsible for staffing, development, patient satisfaction, professional growth, and quality outcomes.

The CSM will collaborate with the Program Director and ICHI leadership to ensure that quality patient care is delivered and overall program goals are reached while adhering to regulations and requirements set by UAMS, insurance companies, government agencies, and internal goals/strategies. If you are a dedicated and skilled Clinical Services Manager with a passion for engaging in meaningful work that makes a difference in the community and collaborating with a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, we invite you to join our team.

This is a community-based position located in El Dorado, AR.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree 
  • Five (5) or more years of clinical experience in field of Nursing
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a leadership capacity
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Arkansas. 
  • Current BLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.

Key Responsibilities: The CSM's duties encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including, but not limited to:

Staffing

  • The CSM is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and onboarding qualified nursing staff for the department. This includes conducting interviews, evaluating candidates, and ensuring proper training and orientation are provided to new hires. Additionally, the CSM will coordinate and monitor the workload of nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations. 

Development

  • The CSM actively contributes to the development of the department by staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in healthcare. They identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the quality of care provided. This may include conducting training seminars or workshops, implementing new protocols or technologies, and collaborating with other departments for interdisciplinary collaboration. 

Patient Satisfaction

  • The CSM continuously monitors patient satisfaction levels and works to address any concerns or issues promptly. They actively engage with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to gather feedback, identify areas of improvement, and implement strategies to enhance the overall patient experience. 

Professional Growth

  • The CSM fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the nursing department. They mentor and guide individual staff members, conduct performance evaluations, and assist with career advancement opportunities. They also promote a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication among nursing staff. 

Quality Outcomes

  • The CSM is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the highest level of quality of clinical services. They collaborate with leadership to establish quality metrics, measure performance, and identify areas for improvement. They ensure that nursing practices adhere to UAMS, regulatory, and internal standards and that patient outcomes are consistently exceptional. 

Collaboration and Compliance

  • They facilitate effective communication, coordinate efforts, and ensure that nursing activities are aligned with the overall goals and objectives of the organization. Additionally, the CSM ensures that all regulations and requirements set by UAMS, insurance companies, government agencies, and internal goals/strategies are adhered to.
