JOB TITLE: Associate Claims Examiner
LOCATION: Remote Flexible working with the opportunity for hybrid working from Chatham/London
TYPE: Permanent, Full - time (37.5 hrs per week)

Our core business services involve performing checks on insurance documents, processing premium transactions and processing claims transactions.
Individual will reside in the UK and have Right to Work in the UK.
Role Purpose
The role typically involves the preparation of insurance documentation and validation of documentation sent by customers for onward processing in the Bureau Core Services.
The role can also involve reconciliation of the Customers’ signing messages with risk data entry data and the resolution of queries with Customers during this process.
The role can also involve entering data into Customers’ Underwriting systems on a daily basis and be responsible for accurately capturing information from slips, endorsements and other insurance documentation into the Customers’ Underwriting system or any other system used by the customer.
It will also require effective liaison with the customer, Brokers and/or any other teams concerning the accurate and timely capture of the required information to the individual procedural requirements of the customer.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of London Market practices or previous insurance industry experience, but not essential, as long as you have the willingness to learn the relevant procedures. Training will be provided if you’re not familiar with any of these terms.
MAIN DUTIES
Reviewing technical processing submissions for onward processing/data entry
Validating data and obtaining additional information to clarify documentation and where necessary correct inaccuracies
Identifying potentially non-compliant data and initiating action to correct or resolve
Processing non-cash /cash entries as applicable
Ensuring high standards of quality are achieved in line with customer expectations
Effectively communicating with customers internally and externally
Developing and maintaining technical knowledge in order to efficiently and effectively complete work
Working with and training less experienced employees to deal with the handling of complex matters or additional work types as required
Managing time and productivity effectively and working within established guidelines and service levels
Dealing with and resolving problems with independent judgement where possible
Demonstrating and encouraging commitment to team objectives
IDEAL CANDIDATES
Able to work within established guidelines and apply standard technical checks as they relate to the risk being processed
Good understanding about the London Market practices and procedures
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to listen to and resolve customer issues whilst preserving relationships (by being effective, efficient, tactful and courteous)
Conducts themselves by example adapting positively to support change initiatives; promoting professional image of self and the team
Displays independent judgement for decision making and problem solving
