We provide businesses with a unified commerce solution that simplifies payments acceptance and operational workflows. HitPay is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Compliance Onboarding Analyst to support the onboarding and ongoing due diligence of merchants in the Philippines. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our merchants comply with BSP regulations, anti-money laundering (AML) policies, and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of local regulatory requirements, and the ability to work collaboratively with compliance, risk, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Merchant Onboarding & KYC Review:

    • Conduct KYC checks for new merchant applications, verifying documentation for compliance with BSP and internal policies.

    • Assess merchant risk levels based on their business model, industry, and transaction activity.

    • Ensure compliance with AML and counter-terrorism financing (CTF) regulations.

  • Ongoing Monitoring & Due Diligence:

    • Perform periodic reviews of existing merchants to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements.

    • Monitor transactions for suspicious activity and escalate concerns to senior compliance team members.

    • Maintain records of merchant onboarding and due diligence activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines.

  • Regulatory Compliance & Reporting:

    • Assist in preparing reports required by the BSP and internal compliance teams.

    • Support audits and regulatory inspections by ensuring all documentation and records are well-organized and up to date.

    • Stay updated on BSP regulatory developments and industry best practices related to payments compliance.

  • Collaboration & Process Improvement:

    • Work closely with the sales, risk, and operations teams to ensure a seamless merchant onboarding experience.

    • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance onboarding efficiency and compliance.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Law, Economics, or a related field.

  • 1-2 years of experience in compliance, risk, or merchant onboarding in a regulated financial services or payments company.

  • Familiarity with BSP regulations, AML laws, and KYC/CTF requirements in the Philippines.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Experience with compliance tools and databases for screening and monitoring.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external regulators.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a regulated payments company or fintech environment.

  • Knowledge of MAS and BNM regulations is a plus.

  • Experience using AML screening tools (e.g., World-Check, Dow Jones, or similar solutions).

What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary and benefits.

  • Opportunity to work in a fast-growing fintech startup with regional exposure.

  • Learning and development opportunities in compliance, risk management, and fintech regulations.

  • A dynamic and collaborative work environment.
