Legend Biotech is seeking Consultant, Immunologist as part of the Clinical Development team

Role Overview

Consultant Immunologist is a newly created request with significant impact on the development and life cycle of drug development projects within the company. The candidate for this role will be responsible providing consulting information in the field of basic immunology as well engaging with KOL in autoimmune/immunology field. Candidate must be in a scientific leadership position with relevant knowledge of cellular and molecular biology relevant for the development of innovative CAR-T approaches as identified by Legend.  Specifically, the candidate should have a track record of involvement and design of targets or mechanisms for clinical/preclinical development of biological assets. These skills and experience should be of relevance to autoimmune diseases of the rheumatoid, gastroenterology, neurology and endocrine spectrum. Candidate must possess passion for science and patients, as well as entrepreneurial drive to help the organization succeed. The position will be reporting into Chief Medical Officer.

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Advice on basic cellular mechanisms and interactions of cell receptors and retargeted T cells.
  • Collaborate with other scientists , technical experts, clinicians and study investigators to integrate cellular therapy into the overall clinical development strategy
  • Represent and advocate for the project in internal and external venues
Requirements
  • PhD, MD or MD-PhD or equivalent degree with accomplished scientific track record (publications, grants) in the specific field of interest
  • 10+ years’ industry/ academic clinical development experience in immunology or associated disciplines
  • development experience of a therapeutic development team or knowledge of cell therapies or CAR-T is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with biotech - preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated capacity to think creatively when addressing complex situations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; willingness to “roll up the sleeves” to contribute to team efforts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment; stellar writing skills, a track record of publications; superb presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross functional teams , KOLs and stake holders.
  • Assure that the highest quality, ethical & professional values are demonstrated in all aspects of the team work
  • Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as, all related healthcare laws and regulations
  • Highly collaborative & effective influencing skills and the ability to operate across multiple geographies
  • Strong track record of delivering results through effective team and peer leadership in matrix
