Head of IT & InfoSec

Our client, an emerging iGaming operator, is seeking a Head of IT & InfoSec to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Guarantee the stability, uptime, and efficiency of systems through proactive monitoring, capacity management, and performance optimization.
• Establish and oversee incident response protocols, including root cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
• Architect, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure on platforms like Azure or GCP.
• Assist various business units, including the Data team, in achieving their operational goals.
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Enforce security best practices across cloud environments and infrastructure, including IAM configurations, VPC setup, and encryption methods.
• Develop and implement information security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and mitigate cybersecurity risks, including intrusion detection, vulnerability assessments, and threat response.
• Ensure proper access controls and data protection measures are in place to safeguard sensitive business and customer information.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams—developers, QA engineers, and product managers—to ensure infrastructure aligns with business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Fluency in Russian (besides English) or experience working with CIS iGaming markets
• Prior experience in the iGaming industry 
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or Infrastructure roles.
• Practical expertise with cloud service providers such as Azure or GCP.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong background in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Scripting or programming ability in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Solid grasp of networking fundamentals (DNS, HTTP, VPN, etc.).
• Experience working with message brokers and data pipelines (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Understanding of database management for both SQL and NoSQL environments.
• Knowledge of high-availability strategies and disaster recovery best practices.
