Job description

Project Manager

At Red Van, we’ve been enabling commerce-minded businesses with Salesforce technologies for more than 10 years. Working with some of the best brands in the world, we know that nothing matters more than  time-to-value, conversion, and lifetime value for B2C and B2B businesses. From omni-channel retail to higher education, brands known around the world to the latest vertically integrated unicorn, Red Van’s team is the best, brightest, and most experienced system integrators in the Salesforce ecosystem.

As a Project Manager with Red Van, you will be responsible for the delivery and execution of our paid client engagements. As the owner of the delivery of the services as defined in our SOWs (statement of work), you will leverage your previous experience managing eCommerce projects with the benefits provided by Red Van’s Autobahn Platform. Success is measured objectively through the project metrics (on-time, on-budget, customer satisfaction) and subjectively through the continuity of our work with our customer and your cross-functional partnership with our Customer Success team. Support in your success will come cross-functionally from all parts of Red Van, but very specifically from our Architects to ensure the right decisions are made, dependencies understood, and risks managed with the company’s Values are front and center. Our entire organization is known to be self-starters and self-motivated, which is very critical to our DNA as well. With great freedom comes great responsibility.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Red Van Mission | Vision | Values: Ensure you and all team members within the PMO are champions of Red Van’s MVV.
  • Project Delivery: Full project lifecycle ownership to successfully deliver multiple types of projects from full implementation from initiation to deployment for major or minor initiatives simultaneously.
  • Project Reporting: Report on project status, metrics, and budget to client and internal stakeholders, including but not limited to burn reporting, weekly status reports, and team performance feedback.
  • Resourcing: Ensure projects are staffed with appropriate resources to achieve objectives in planned timeframes.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Provide the best customer experience at the project level by following the standards and processes set forth by the VP of Services.
  • Client Project & Internal Project Responsibilities:  Act as a billable Project Manager, your primary responsibility, and assist with internal project needs as needed. Lead client project team(s) to ensure client requirements are understood while managing the budget, timeline, scope, and communications. Work with the client and development team to adjust for any gaps between the SOW and client requests. Develop a Change Order as needed for scope changes, timeline extension, and added budget.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with both non-technical and technical stakeholders.
  • Internal Policies & Standards: Participate in establishing practices, templates, and tools to expand and mature the capabilities of the Red Van PMO.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry standards and best practices to incorporate these strategies into the PMO.

Ideally you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years experience in project management, product management, service management, or related/similar roles in a digitally focused organization/team.
  • Passion and commitment to providing the best possible services to our clients.
  • Strong understanding of commerce and digital marketing platforms, specifically focusing on B2C solutions required. Exposure/understanding of B2B environments, payment processing and CRM a plus.
  • Direct experience within the Salesforce ecosystem is preferred. Experience within other commerce environments (Shopify, Commercetools, BigCommerce, etc.) is also helpful.
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong and effective leadership skills.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to make informed decisions.
  • Comfort with conflict management.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
  • Self-motivated team player who can work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

Compensation:

  • $110 to $160K total compensation, variable based on experience and inclusive of potential company bonus

Red Van is a distributed company, so your geographic location within the USA is not critical: your office is your choice. Occasional travel availability to customer locations may be necessary, so reasonable proximity to an airport with good commercial service is required. Most of our crew travels rarely, at most a few days per quarter.

Perks and Benefits:

  • Work fully remote
  • Comprehensive benefits and health coverage
  • Paid vacation, sick leave, and time off to volunteer
  • Paid leave for new parents
  • We invest in your future by contributing 3% of your salary to a 401(K), even if you don't
  • Recurring stipend to upgrade your home office and equipment
