Join the power movement as a Grant Administrator
The Accounting team is looking for a Grant Administrator to coordinate and manage the Company’s Federal and State grants in compliance with internal and external requirements. The successful candidate will oversee the accounting set-up, ongoing administration, reporting, and closeout of CFS’ grants.
What you'll do:Daily ActivitiesMonitor and track grant expenses, ensuring alignment with approved budgets and compliance with federal cost principlesReview and document grant-related financial transactions, including vendor payments and expense reimbursementsMaintain detailed documentation of grant activities, expenditures, and communicationsRespond to inquiries from program staff, federal agency representatives, and other stakeholdersCoordinate with project teams to ensure proper implementation of grant activitiesTrack project timelines and deliverables to ensure completion within grant periods
Monthly ActivitiesPrepare and submit monthly financial reports to federal funding agenciesReconcile grant accounts and review budget variancesGenerate internal progress reports for leadership team reviewConduct compliance reviews of grant expenditures and activitiesFacilitate monthly meetings with project teams to review grant progressProcess draw-down requests for federal fundsEnsure timekeeping meets Federal requirements and reconcile salaries and wages with accounting team
Quarterly ActivitiesCompile and submit quarterly performance reports to federal agenciesConduct detailed budget analysis and projectionsUpdate risk assessments and mitigation strategiesReview and update policies and procedures as neededCoordinate quarterly program reviews with stakeholdersPrepare specialized reports required by specific federal agencies
Annual ActivitiesCoordinate annual audit preparations for federal grantsPrepare and submit annual performance reportsDevelop and maintain grant closeout proceduresReview and update internal control systemsAssist in preparing continuation or renewal applicationsPartner with Compliance team to update and maintain grant related procedures and policiesWhat we're looking for:Bachelors in a Business or Accounting Related Field5+ years of experience in federal grant or contracts administrationExperience in federal grant management systems ( SAM.gov, etc )Demonstrated knowledge of federal regulations ( 2 CFR 200, FAR, SEFA )Excel/Google SheetsMajor ERP SystemsBonus points for:Experience working with Department of EnergyCGMS CertificationOdoo Tableau Must-have requirements:Perform activities such as typing or sitting for extended periods of timeDedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenicsWillingness to occasionally travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call#LI-Remote
