The Hackett Center for Mental Health (Hackett Center) seeks a collaborative and hard-working professional to serve as Assistant Chief of Staff. The Assistant Chief of Staff will support the work of the Hackett Center team, including the Executive Director (ED), Deputy Director, and Chief of Staff (COS). The preferred work location for this position is in Houston, TX. The Meadows Institute is a virtual work environment, and this position will require occasional in-person meetings and project work. This position may not be filled or performed in California, Colorado, Hawaii, Montana, Rhode Island, or Washington at this time. Statewide travel (up to 20%) may be required. Some duties may require access to reliable personal transportation.
Responsibilities:
Work alongside and take direction from the COS to:
Maintain Executive Director and Deputy Director’s complex calendars and schedules with precise attention to detail and a high degree of discretion, including:
Complete monthly expense reports for the Executive Director and Deputy Director, including reconciling purchases with associated receipts by a designated deadline;
Support management of communication follow-up for Executive Director and Deputy Director;
Work with accounting to track and reconcile monthly expenses;
Update and maintain customer management system such as Salesforce;
Other duties as assigned.
