ASI serves as a trusted adviser to government leaders seeking improved performance, enhanced organization effectiveness, and strategic change and we are actively recruiting an Acquisition Specialist to support Department of State.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research contracting topics and provide recommendations to the customer
  • Manage contracts intake process whereby all contract changes are managed through a workflow process
  • Maintain knowledge of the total contracts portfolio
  • Maintain contracts portfolio dashboard
  • Identify upcoming contracts risks/issues (e.g., contracts expiring)
  • Review contract packages and make edits/revisions
  • Develop repeatable solution sets and acquisition artifacts that support innovative and forward-leaning acquisition solutions.  This includes requirements documents, statements of work, solicitations, source selection plans, risk management plans, test strategies, and other acquisition/organizational planning documents
  • Support the analysis, evaluation, development, and execution of traditional and innovative acquisition strategies
  • Collaborate with the Government to shape outcomes that maximize quality, value, and partnerships with key stakeholders

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of government contracting experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience as a U.S. Government Contracting Officer and/or Contracting Specialist

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Secret Clearance

LOCATION:

  • Hybrid, 2-5 days per week at 2025 E St, NW, Washington, DC
