This is a remote position.
Scope:
Monday to Friday; Flexible schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM Richmond, VA Time (20 hours per week)
Manage and create content for all social media accounts
Design promotional materials for events and programs
Update website content on a regular basis
Assist with email communications and newsletter creation
Contribute to the overall marketing and communication strategy
Collaborate with team members on various projects as needed
Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Responsibilities:
Create and manage engaging content for various social media platforms
Design visually appealing graphics and flyers using Canva
Update and maintain the organization’s WordPress website
Write marketing copy for upcoming events and programs
Manage community engagement through social media comments and messages
Assist with administrative tasks such as email management and scheduling
Develop and implement social media strategies to increase audience engagement
Track and report on social media metrics and performance
Requirements:
Proficiency in American English (written and spoken)
Strong understanding of various social media platforms and best practices
Experience with graphic design tools, particularly Canva
Familiarity with WordPress or similar content management systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Cultural sensitivity and awareness
Strong organizational and time management skills
