Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid Eligibility Test Analyst to support testing efforts within a state Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES) Modernization program. This role will focus on testing activities related to the Medicaid Eligibility (MAGI and non-MAGI) module under the Testing Center of Excellence (TCOE) framework. The successful candidate will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and accurate testing for the Medicaid modernization project.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing for the Medicaid Eligibility (MAGI and non-MAGI) module
  • Collaborate with the Testing Lead, Systems Integrator (SI), and other modular contractors to gather testing requirements and ensure proper test coverage
  • Develop and maintain detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data based on business requirements and system design documents
  • Identify, log, and track defects through resolution, ensuring proper documentation and reporting
  • Ensure all testing activities align with CMS guidelines and standards
  • Perform data validation and eligibility rules testing to ensure accurate processing of Medicaid Eligibility determinations
  • Participate in test planning sessions, status meetings, and defect triage sessions
  • Provide regular status updates on testing progress, risks, and issues to the Testing Lead and project stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Medicaid systems testing, with specific expertise in Medicaid Eligibility (MAGI and non-MAGI)
  • Strong understanding of Medicaid Eligibility processes and business rules
  • Experience with test case creation, test execution, and defect tracking
  • Familiarity with testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy

Preferred:

  • Experience in MMIS or MES modernization projects
  • Familiarity with CMS certification requirements
  • Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
