The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team, bringing a solid foundation of accounting expertise and advanced QuickBooks proficiency. In this key role, you will manage various financial functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

This position is remote and offers you the flexibility of working from home.

In this position you will be responsible for:
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurate and discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved.
  • Journal Entries: Record journal entries to maintain accurate financial records and promote transparency in financial reporting.
  • Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) accounts to ensure financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Budget Forecasts: Support in preparing budget forecasts, analyzing financial trends, and ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Timely Bank Payments: Ensure timely processing of bank payments, maintaining proper documentation for each transaction.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish financial statements (balance sheets, profit and loss statements) in accordance with company timelines.
  • Data Analysis: Undertake data analysis to monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and regulations, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

To be successful in this role you will:
  • Experience: At least 10 plus years of experience as an Accountant, preferably within the US healthcare industry (experience in skilled nursing or similar environments is a bonus).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Advanced experience with QuickBooks (10+ years preferred).
    • Familiarity with Enterprise (training provided if necessary).
    • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUPs and PivotTables.
  • Accounting Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP standards.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and exceptional analytical skills, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation and reporting.

    Industry standards applicable to the state depending on work experience and level of expertise.
