Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Ranges Program Manager to join our team! In this role you will manage Project Teams that create innovative, practical solutions for urgent needs and new capabilities for Defense customers.   In this role you will: oversee development projects related to the Department of Defense (DoD) ranges operations and development. As the Manager over Parsons Ranges Program, your job duties include finding new opportunities and developing a winning approach to win contracts, working with a highly committed Parsons opportunity development team, and managing projects related to providing the best Ranges for the DoD. 

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Find new range management and development opportunities for DoD (and state agencies), researching these opportunities and developing a winning approach to capture them, and overseeing a staff to manage resulting contracts.
  • Act as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution. 
  • Develop work procedures; prepares work schedules and expedites workflow;
  • Network across the organization to develop successful internal and external relationships.
  • Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule. 
  • Regularly reviews project status.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.    

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 15+ years experience in Range Management;
  • Strong knowledge and experience with the development and management of DoD  ranges and DoD ranges regulations;
  • Familiarity with corporate governance and organizational behavior models. Strong persuasion and conflict management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem resolutions skills;
  • Ability to develop and inspire staff through mentoring, coaching and counseling to improve performance;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex cross-functional projects / assignments requiring identification of objectives, resources and/or approaches;
  • Demonstrated analytical skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management;
  • Software: Proficiency in Outlook, MS Word, Excel and Power Point;
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and time management skills;
  • Exceptional project management skills and strong conceptual thinking.

Salary Range: 

$140,700.00 - $253,300.00
