Job description

What we’re building and why we’re building it.

Every month, millions of people use America’s Rewards App, earning rewards for buying brands they love – and a whole lot more. Whether shopping in the grocery aisle, grabbing a bite at the drive-through or playing a favorite mobile game, Fetch empowers consumers to live rewarded throughout their day. To date, we’ve delivered more than $1 billion in rewards and earned more than 5 million five-star reviews from happy users.

It’s not just our users who believe in Fetch: with investments from SoftBank, Univision, and Hamilton Lane, and partnerships ranging from challenger brands to Fortune 500 companies, Fetch is reshaping how brands and consumers connect in the marketplace. When you work at Fetch, you play a vital role in a platform that drives brand loyalty and creates lifelong consumers with the power of Fetch points. User and partner success are at the heart of everything we do, and we extend that same commitment to our employees.

Ranked as one of America’s Best Startup Employers by Forbes for two years in a row, Fetch fosters a people-first culture rooted in trust, accountability, and innovation. We encourage our employees to challenge ideas, think bigger, and always bring the fun to Fetch.

Fetch is an equal employment opportunity employer.

The Fetch Product Design team is responsible for the entire design of the Fetch app—from user experience design to creative direction and production. Our goal is to deliver a fun experience that our shoppers (and partners) love and can’t live without.

Fetch is looking for an experienced Senior UX Researcher to join our team. You will be the sole researcher working across the product design and product management teams; it is your responsibility to lead efforts that measurably improve people’s lives. Fetch product designers are expected to conduct research, but you will drive large strategic initiatives and assist product designers on best research practices.  You will guide our team’s culture through mentorship and thought leadership. You will help Fetch level up by infusing user-centered practices into your work and across the organization.

UX Researchers at Fetch must be…

  • Risk-takers. You’ve got ample room to fail and no time to play it safe.
  • Endlessly curious. You never hesitate to ask “why” and tirelessly seek out innovative solutions.
  • Expert collaborators. You are equally comfortable working side-by-side with executive stakeholders, teammates, and non-technical colleagues as you are with your fellow designers.
  • Research craftspeople. Previous experience in product design or product management is a must in order to work effectively with designers and product managers alike.  Creating easily digestible and actionable insights for different groups is required.
  • Radically scrappy. You thrive in ambiguity and won’t hesitate to get exactly what you need to keep moving ahead. You can get stuff done!
  • Team-players. Our secret sauce is our team dynamic; we don’t have time for egos.

By month 3 you will be…

  • Partnering with the product design team on:
    • Research strategy
    • Creating actionable insights
    • Usability studies
    • Moderated studies
  • Acquainted with both the consumer design team’s research needs and help develop a research strategy
  • Routinely gathering actionable insights for product managers and product designers to utilize
  • Owning the research schedule and launching weekly studies

By month 6 you will be…

  • Partnering with data stakeholders to combine internal quantitative with qualitative research to tell cohesive stories to move teams and the product forward
  • Educating stakeholders on research best practices, especially those without a dedicated designer or product manager
  • Creating a user panel and strategy for how to best utilize these users
  • Contributing to a long-term vision of scaling research at Fetch

By year 1 you will be…

  • Owner of the research vision for product at Fetch in collaboration with product managers, designers, and the marketing team
  • Identifying gaps in Collective roadmaps that research can guide
  • Coach to product managers and designers across many collectives; you will have created a well-oiled research machine
  • Creator of a high-functioning research practice for both the enterprise and consumer product and design teams

We’re looking for people who have:

  • 5+ years of relevant research experience
  • Experience with creating and running in-house user panels
  • Experience conducting research for consumer-facing products
  • Ability to self-direct and lean on their prioritization methods to get their work done in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Ability to break down complex issues into easily understood insights presented as shareouts for diverse audiences
  • A knack for interpreting and understanding research biases
  • Experience running a solo research practice while coaching product designers on best practices
  • Previous product design or product management experience
  • Experience creating surveys, conducting user interviews, and running usability tests

Compensation:

  • At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $153,000-177,000. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.

At Fetch, we'll give you the tools to feel healthy, happy and secure through:
