Semgrep is looking for an “A” player to build out the central and east regions of the US. Semgrep has seen immense success in the last 2 years, and now it’s time to scale into the geography and accounts that we’re not currently doing business in. You’ll be responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining a region of top performing AE’s. You’ll be responsible for pipeline generation, deal progression, and closing business in accordance with Semgrep’s operating plan. You’ll also partner with our channel and marketing team, to help scale our distribution efforts to the channel and alliance partners who are geographically aligned to the central and west regions.

About the role

  • Actively recruit Account Executives for your team, according to Semgrep’s hiring criteria
  • Ability to build in-depth and detailed understanding of Semgrep’s products to confidently provide mentorship for your teams pursuits
  • Enable, develop and empower your team to proactively prospect, identify, qualify, and build sales pipeline
  • Coach the team to close business and to navigate complex negotiations and organizations
  • Execute on Semgrep sales process
  • Onboard and ramp new Account Executives and accelerate their productive capacity
  • Run weekly forecast meetings
  • Scale, strategically plan, and develop sales territories

Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting and managing a highly successful and talented direct software sales team while driving them towards success
  • Have built regions for cyber security companies at Semgrep’s size, and understand/want to do it again
  • 10+ years field experience of quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market and minimum of 3+ years leading teams/building regions
  • Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and run a complex sales process with an Account Executive and Sales Engineer
  • A proven track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
  • Ability to articulate the business value of complex Enterprise technology
  • Skilled in building business champions

Compensation

  • Compensation Range: $300,000 - $400,000 OTE uncapped 
  • Our compensation package includes equity and benefits in addition to salary.

Location

  • Ideally, this candidate lives in the central or eastern US, and is comfortable with 50% travel requirement
