Job Overview
Davies Claims North America is looking for a P&C Claims Supervisor to join our growing team! Reporting to the Manager of P&C TPA, you will ensure a quality work product through the supervision of adjusting staff and Team Assistants.
To be successful in this role, you must possess proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills while demonstrating strong analysis, judgement, and sound decision making with high-level attention to detail abilities. You must have a college degree or four or more years of work experience, as well as previous experience with Property, Liability, and Legal claims adjusting. Additionally, you must have superb communication skills, both verbal and written, conducted in a timely manner, superior time management skills with capability of working with and meeting deadlines, and demonstrate an exceptional ability to multi-task and prioritize with excellent organization and documentation skills in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. This role is a full-time, home-based position with some travel required for claims meetings, client visits, and seminars for obtaining or maintaining CEU credits for Adjuster license.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform initial review of Loss Notice for coverage or liability issues, red flags, and recovery potential and confirm assignments to adjusters with initial instructions
- Provide adequate training of adjusting staff via personal training or assignment of employee to Senior Adjuster for training
- Design and implement training regimens for employees as the need arises
- Ensure appropriate handling of claims through routine diary review and daily interaction with adjusting staff, including but not limited to liability issues, recovery (excess and subrogation), timeliness in responding to legal documents, timeliness in reporting to excess and requesting reimbursement for maintaining adequate reserves, and adequate claim closures
- Provide supervision of Team Assistants
- Inform Claims Manager of personnel issues including chronic absenteeism, poor work performance, staffing problems, and client concerns; recommend appropriate remedial measures
- Properly research No Record Mail
- Ensure adjusters vacations and extended absences are covered by other qualified teammates
- Handle escalated telephone calls from those who request to speak with an Adjuster Supervisor
- Handle employee complaints and grievances
- Ensure proper communication of claims issues with clients through regular telephone contact and regular claims meetings
- Monitor compliance of adjusters’ CEU credits for Adjuster licensure
- Maintain CEU credits for personal Adjuster licensure
- Perform quarterly audits for each employee to ensure proper claims handling

Experience and Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years of Property, Liability, and Legal claims adjusting experience
- College degree or four or more years of equivalent work experience
- Possess a FL All-Lines Adjuster license
- Maintain CEU credits for Adjuster license
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Position Type, Work Environment and Physical Demands
This is a home-based, full time, salaried, exempt position that predominantly operates remotely from a professional home-based office environment routinely using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, photocopiers, and scanners and requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer. While performing the duties of this job, the individual will be required to regularly hear and talk. This is a largely sedentary role requiring the ability to sit at a desk, reach outward, use a phone, have use of fingers to operate office equipment such as a keyboard, mouse, phone, printer, copier, and to reach above the head, bend, or stand as necessary.
