The Test Systems Engineer I is responsible for conducting test plans on his own and/or directing others. Directs Fabrication of simple test fixtures. Wires test units using schematics. Uses LabVIEW to create simple VI’s to collect data and review with the engineers and writes reports.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Use lab equipment such as a multi-meter, gas meter, and force gauge to acquire data.
  • Record and documents testing results in a timely manner and reviews findings with the Design and other Test System engineers.
  • Direct construction of simple test fixtures by Technicians. This includes electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems.
  • Read electrical and piping schematics and applies to the construction of the test.
  • Create simple control and data acquisition programs (VI’s in LabVIEW).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with safety policies.
  • Operate and tune gas appliances in support of testing.
  • Create, tend and report simple tests. Reports all results to Engineers and making suggestions and insights on what was seen. Execute tests on products/systems/components.
  • Assemble, install and use Henny Penny products.
  • Understand blower, ignitor, combustion parameters of gas ignition fryers.
  • Basic understanding of Test Agency Requirements to perform internal HP tests.
  • Follow Test schedules.
  • Consistently models the Company Values and Expected Behaviors.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

  • Basic Knowledge in computer skills such as Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge working with electrical and mechanical lab measurement equipment.
  • Familiar with electromechanical equipment.
