Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced Software Business Process Analyst to help optimize processes and drive performance across our organization. In this role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams—including developers, project managers, and analysts—to design process solutions, document business requirements, and support user acceptance testing. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and ensure alignment between business needs and technical delivery.

Key Duties

  • Conduct process analysis and identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Requirement Gathering & Documentation: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to elicit, document, and refine business requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to gather insights and build consensus.
  • Translate requirements into comprehensive user stories, process flows and functional specifications to support project delivery.
  • Lead and manage user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of implemented solutions, providing ongoing support and identifying areas for improvement.

 As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • 5+ years of experience working as an IT Business Analyst or Systems Analyst.
  • Tertiary degree in information technology, computer science and/or related experience.
  • Proficient in process modelling. Creating visual representations of business processes using industry standard tools such as BPMN or UML flowcharts, entity relationships, sequence and choreography diagrams.
  • Experience writing functional specifications that clearly define system requirements, user interactions, and business processes to ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Experienced in performing as-is and to-be analysis.
  • Proficient with modelling tools and software such as Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart or ER/Studio.
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams, including project stakeholders, developers, testers and project managers to gather information and validate models.
  • Willingness to proactively identify opportunities for process and system improvement.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize various responsibilities and consistently meet deadlines; flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected assignments, changes to workload or design revisions mid-project based on management priorities or client requests.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, especially with stakeholders who often have limited technical knowledge.
  • Ability to work with others, as well as independently and autonomously with minimal supervision.
