As the International Trade Expert, your main duties will involve offering general assistance regarding customs and international trade matters. This includes tasks such as denied party screening as part of embargo and sanction due diligence process, as well as customs classification and reviewing and determining the country of origin You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPI) for the Global Customs and Trade Compliance team, while ensuring that all actions are in compliance with relevant laws, internal policies, best practices, and business goals.

Your key responsibilities: 

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

  • Prepare and present reports on customs and trade compliance matters.
  • ct as an advisor when required to Sandoz business if customs classification needs further explanation or training.
  • Be accountable for the correctness of customs classification for material in scope globally.
  • upport collection, analysis and submission of the Key Performance Indicators from Sandoz businesses  to Global CTC function.
  • Manage export controls including classification, management and monitoring of license application for controlled goods and/or embargo and sanction territories.
  • Collaborate within the team and Sandoz businesses to achieve objectives in customs and trade matters.
  • Effectively communicate with Authorities, variety of teams and colleagues at different level of seniority.

 

What you will bring to the role: 

  • University degree in economical or other relevant field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in international trade function.
  • Excellent understanding of embargoes and sanction currently in place including screening process, potential match assessment, release or escalation.
  • Excellent understanding rules of preferential origin.
  • Knowledge of EU customs legislation and special procedures.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • IT Knowledge: Microsoft Office, advanced use of Excel and SAP.
  • High motivation, independence and self-initiative.
