Job description

Job Description

Blockhouse's success stems from our groundbreaking approach to quantitative finance, blending sophisticated mathematical models with robust financial strategies to redefine market dynamics. We are seeking a Quantitative Market Data Analyst Intern to enhance our data curation capabilities and ensure that our foundational market data is robust, accurate, and tailored to drive high-quality analytics and execution in the blockchain and cryptocurrency markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection and Cleaning

  • Gather, clean, and organize large-scale datasets from blockchain networks (e.g., Ethereum, Solana) and cryptocurrency exchanges (e.g., Coinbase, OKX).

  • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity, with a primary focus on crypto market data such as on-chain data, trading volumes, liquidity, and market sentiment.

AWS Data Infrastructure

  • Leverage AWS services such as S3, Redshift, and Athena to efficiently process and manage data pipelines for high-performance analytics.

  • Implement data extraction processes for blockchain data and cryptocurrency exchange feeds to integrate into analytics pipelines.

Blockchain Protocol Expertise

  • Work with blockchain data protocols (e.g., Ethereum JSON-RPC, Solana RPC) and cryptocurrency exchange APIs (e.g., Coinbase Pro, OKX) to develop and maintain data handlers that account for blockchain-specific data structures and transaction dynamics.

  • Address complex scenarios in blockchain transactions, including token transfers, gas fees, and decentralized finance (DeFi) operations.

Crypto-Specific Data Challenges

  • Develop and implement methods to measure transaction costs, slippage, and liquidity in cryptocurrency markets.

  • Analyze multi-asset and cross-chain trades to optimize data alignment and accuracy for analytics and trading strategies.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
