WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Vice President, Sales Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence and strategic planning and execution across the sales organization. This role involves overseeing the sales operations team, the RFP response team, and the cross sell and renewal programs. This leader will be expected to streamline processes, implement tools, and ensure alignment between sales strategy and execution. The VP, Sales Operations will work closely with the leadership team to drive revenue growth, enhance productivity, and provide actionable insights to guide business decisions.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
• Ability to execute on planning, reporting, sales process optimization, sales training and enablement, sales program implementation, sales compensation design and administration.
• Accountable for the timely assignment of all sales organization objectives.
• Partners with senior sales leadership to identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Facilitates successful implementation of new programs through the sales organization by ensuring a well-defined, efficient sales process is in place for launch. Fosters an organization of continuous process improvement.
• Direct the delivery of an effective and efficient client renewal program that expands client relationships and secures future revenue.
• Oversee the program management of the company-wide cross sell program and delivery of corresponding target results.
• Ensures specific sales pursuits have a custom sales strategy tailored to the needs and goals of the given prospective client.
• Prioritizes investments in enabling technologies in support of sales organization productivity. Works closely with the CRO and across the Executive team to understand the organizations Sales and Product strategy. Recommends enhancements to the sales process and customer support relationships to streamline and improve customer acquisition and retention process.
• Works closely with senior sales leadership to define the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales organization success. Aligns reporting, training, and incentive programs with these performance management priorities.
• Ensures sales reports and other internal intelligence is provided to the sales organization. Develops new reporting tools as needed. Coordinates with sales leadership and other stakeholders to lead efficient and accurate sales force reporting initiatives.
• Working with Finance and senior sales leadership, partners with CRO to design sales incentive compensation programs that provide market-competitive pay, reinforce sales organization strategy, and align with business and sales organization objectives.
• Establish sales compensation program rules, policies, and procedures. Works closely with Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources to establish rules, policies, and procedures associated with sales compensation.
• Directs and supports the consistent implementation of go-to-market and company initiatives.
• Plays lead role for the integration of the sales teams, systems and processes of acquired organizations.
• Is a visible member within the organization as a key representative of the Revenue team and a champion for its success.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Required Education and Experience):

• Education:
o Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Experience:
o 10+ years of experience in sales operations, sales management, or a related field.
o Proven track record in a leadership role overseeing teams and driving measurable outcomes.
o Deep understanding of sales processes, CRM systems, and data analytics.
• Skills:
o Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Expertise in sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and data visualization platforms.
o Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Standard working hours are 8am-5pm Central Time, unless otherwise stated in the Job Description. 

 

 

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $150,000-$190,000, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.  If you are hired at bswift, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors – we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package!
