We are looking for a motivated Sales Engineer to manage the sales and promotion of our products and services across the Plains States region (IN, KS, MO, NE). In this role, you'll focus on identifying new business opportunities, maintaining and growing existing accounts, and supporting the promotion of our products. You'll take a hands-on approach to managing customer relationships; uncovering new opportunities, and contributing to the region's growth. What you will do:
Sales Process Management
You will manage all aspects of the sales process for accounts within your assigned territory which include:
- Qualify customers and generating sales opportunities.
- Qualify and nurturing opportunities through the sales pipeline.
- Gather engineering data to identify the best solutions for customer needs.
- Recommend solutions tailored to customers.
- Develop strategies to win identified opportunities and follow up on quotes.
- Secure purchase orders and manage customer expectations.
- Effectively communicate customer needs to other internal parties (inside sales, operations, etc.).
Customer Relationship Management
You will be the primary point of contact between the customer and various internal teams, ensuring smooth communication and strong partnerships. This includes:
- Liaise with manufacturing and customers to manage delivery changes proactively.
- Coordinate with quality assurance to r4esolve any quality issues swiftly and effectively.
- Collaborate with engineering to address technical problems and/or develop prototypes.
- Ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Manage all other customer interactions and ensure a high level of service.
Collaboration and Support
You will collaborate with local reps and rep forms (if applicable) to streamline the sales process. Additionally, you will support the company's market implementation activities such as:
- Lead generation, qualification, and follow-up.
- Participation in trade shows and promotional activities.
Reporting & Business Planning
- Provide reports on customer interactions and developments.
- Deliver quarterly business reviews for your territory.
- Contribute to the company's goals for the fiscal year.
We are looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years of direct sales experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and CRM software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on clear, service-oriented interactions.
- A team player who thrives in collaborative environments, while also demonstrating the ability to work independently, show initiative, and drive results.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Must reside within the assigned territory.
