Software Developer at Global Sourcing Company (Remote, PH-Based only)

We are looking for a passionate Software Developer to work for our Singapore - based client. For this role, we only process candidates that are based in the Philippines and have legal authorization to work in the Philippines.

Purpose 

As a Software Developer, you'll be a cornerstone of our technology team, playing a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of our platform's frontend and backend. You'll be working directly with our product, strategy and growth teams to innovate and create applications and features that align with our mission and serve our clients' needs.

We are looking for passionate professionals with a knack for problem-solving, who are ready to build from scratch, are comfortable with the inherent risks of early-stage startups, and display a readiness to learn, adapt, and grow.

What you'll be doing 

• Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Working on both front-end and back-end frameworks, and third-party libraries.
• Collaborating with the product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and use cases and translate them into pragmatic and effective technical solutions.
• Integrating our applications with third-party web services.
• Enhance application performance using your expert knowledge of Frontend & Backend Frameworks, ensuring a seamless user experience.

What you'll need to be successful 

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a Full-Stack Developer role including extensive experience with our core stack: Node.js, React, Express, TypeScript, Sequelize & Postgres
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and optimise performance.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies including React, Next.js & Typescript as well as strong understanding of core CS Fundamentals.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and SQL, skilled in executing migrations and managing complex ETL pipelines.
• Some experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines as well as deploying applications on AWS.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as S3, Ec2, Lambda & Cloudwatch etc.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to translate technical jargon into plain language.
• Comfortable with ambiguity, and ability to navigate within a fast-paced, start-up environment flexible, quick on your feet, and ready to tackle the unknown.
