We are seeking a full-time Business Services Senior Accountant

Position Summary:

As a Senior Business Services Accountant, you will be responsible for a portfolio of business clients, preparing financial statements, tax returns, and compliance reports while ensuring adherence to industry regulations. With extensive experience in public accounting, you will handle complex reconciliations, technical accounting tasks, and process improvements to enhance efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in meeting reporting deadlines and maintaining precise financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review complex individual, company, partnership, and trust tax returns.
  • Handle various tax matters, including PSI, CGT, FBT, Div7A, Trust Distributions, and GST Reconciliation.
  • Prepare and lodge BASs and IASs for clients across different entities.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Assist in tax planning and advisory services, ensuring clients receive proactive and strategic tax solutions.
  • Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards, and share knowledge with the team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Skills:

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax and financial reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Xero software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
