Pricing Strategy Senior Manager - Subscription Products and Advertising

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Pricing Strategy Senior Manager to lead the development and execution of pricing strategies for our subscription products and advertising solutions. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape our pricing strategies and make a meaningful impact on the company’s growth trajectory. This role will play a pivotal part in driving revenue growth, optimizing profitability, and ensuring competitiveness in a dynamic market environment. The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking with strong quantitative skills to deliver actionable insights and innovative pricing approaches. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and implement comprehensive pricing strategies for subscription products and advertising services, aligning with business goals and market conditions.

  • Conduct competitive analysis to benchmark pricing against industry standards and identify opportunities for differentiation.

  • Develop models to forecast the impact of pricing changes on revenue, profitability, and customer behavior.

  • Identify opportunities for margin improvement while balancing customer value and retention.

  • Leverage market research, customer feedback, and data analytics to inform pricing decisions.

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor pricing strategies to adapt and refine approaches as needed.

  • Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, insights, and actionable opportunities.

  • Prepare reports and dashboards to communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, and Finance teams to align pricing strategies with product positioning and go-to-market plans.

  • Partner with technology teams to ensure pricing strategies are effectively implemented in subscription and advertising platforms.

  • Develop and manage pricing experiments, including A/B testing, to assess the effectiveness of new pricing strategies.

  • Oversee the rollout of new pricing models, ensuring seamless implementation and clear communication with stakeholders.

Typical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (master’s degree preferred). 

  • 5+ years of experience in pricing strategy, revenue management, or a related field, preferably in subscription-based products and/or advertising. 

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in data modeling, forecasting, and pricing tools. 

  • Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). 

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences. 

  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders. 

  • Knowledge of subscription models, digital advertising trends, and customer lifetime value metrics is highly desirable.
