Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Meets all qualifications/requirements for Truss Builder 1, 2, and 3 and can demonstrate proficiency of Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities of those roles Truss Builder/Sawyer – All Positions Able to perform all tasks required of Truss Component Builder 1-3 and Sawyer 1-2 Schedules jobs to be cut as per truss build schedule for all floor, roof truss, and field repair jobs Proficiently completes all Sawyer tasks Has an advanced understanding of both Hundegger Component and Auto saw operating systems Able to trouble shoot Hundegger and Spida Apollo saw Delegates responsibilities when lead is not present Fills out production sheet Understands truss store and how to keep inventory accurate Able to keep the line moving Can fill in at any position in case of absence
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
- Knowledge of component manufacturing process used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction
- Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work
- Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline
- Strong team work ethic
- Communicates effectively with team members
- Must have completed training and testing as a Truss Builder 3
