Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate data insights from client data, product output, operational/service data, etc... into practical implications and opportunities for clients.

  • Present ideas, insights, and recommendations at in-person and virtual client-facing business meetings to facilitate decision making. Promote fact‐based decision making relative to data‐driven analytics.  Provide drill-down details, as requested, by clients.

  • Partner with Client Management team regarding client priorities, data approach and presentation preferences.  Engage broader stakeholders in Business Solutions, Business Units and Zelis IT and Data Analytics as needed for collaboration and input.

  • Build the framework, processes, and visualizations for day-to-day activities of analysis, client response management, trend identification, KPI oversight and improvement opportunities. 

  • Determine appropriate use of current reporting capabilities, tools, and visualizations as well as improvement opportunities. 

  • Collaborate and support Data Insight and Business Intelligence teams for Impact Analysis process, analytics, and output.

  • Engage in proposal activities relative to data, stats, and outcomes as requested.

  • Address client concerns and inquiries regarding data and outcomes while considering the optimal position for Zelis and the long-term partnership. 

  • Maintain a positive relationship with client representatives by acting with a sense of urgency and providing timely, complete, and accurate information/responses.

  • Learn/maintain a working understanding of Zelis products and associated client-customizations.

  • Maintain awareness of and ensure adherence to Zelis standards regarding privacy.

  • Other activities as necessitated by business needs

Required Software:

  • Business Intelligence Tools: Experience with data visualization and reporting.

  • Microsoft Platforms: Advanced skills in data manipulation and analysis.

  • Salesforce: Experience with client enablement and data management.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience designing and delivering analyses that inform client decision making and/or operational changes; healthcare technology industry preferred.

  • Expertise in the collection, analysis, and delivery of large, multidimensional data sets, including using advanced analytical tools and methodology (e.g., SQL, Data Visualization & BI Tools).

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; in Healthcare Management, Math, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science or related quantitative discipline preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert ability to communicate complex ideas and analyses in a simple and digestible way with the ability to influence a broad set of stakeholders.

  • Proven ability to create partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Engage in work activities with intellectual curiosity, flexibility, and a high level of proactiveness.

  • Strong project management skills with project management tool competence.

  • Advanced degree(s) or certification(s) valued.

Work Environment:

  • Travel requirements to (primarily) domestic destinations should not exceed 15% 

  • A standard work week exists but with the understanding that additional time/effort outside of the usual parameters can/will occur based upon the overall needs of the clients/leadership/Sales team where deadlines exist and when necessary due to the needs of the clients/leadership/Sales team.

  • A standard business environment exists with moderate noise levels

  • Ability to lift and move approximately thirty (30) pounds on a non-routine basis

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
