About the opportunity:
As Program Manager, Digital Products at N26, you'll support our product segments in the management of large-scale initiatives and programs.
In this role, you'll help our teams ship the key large-scale software and general initiatives that move our product forward, coordinating with product and technology leaders across product domains. You'll ensure initiatives are prioritised, clarify dependencies, monitor and control the critical path, and remove structural impediments to ensure smooth product releases to our users.
You’ll be working with an amazing team of product leaders, agile coaches, engineering managers, and business operations colleagues. You’ll also engage with cross-functional stakeholders across the business (Ops, Marketing, Legal.)
In this role, you will:
- Coordination of the portfolio initiatives and programs of the prioritised portfolio and in particular the business focus portfolio
- Managing the Portfolio of Initiatives and ensure the portfolio is aligned with product strategy, OKRs, and outcome metrics
- Facilitate sequencing / relative prioritization of key deliverables for better decision making on trade-offs
- Collaborate with Head of Agile Practices on leading and facilitating the product & tech roadmap planning, creating crystal clear visibility for stakeholders
- Ensure that cross-segment work is planned consistently and manage dependencies across segments for large-scale programs
- Manage dependency risk by identifying & monitoring dependencies together with engineering leadership, facilitating appropriate staffing or organization
- Report top initiative status and risk to product and tech leadership for timely attention and mitigation
- Track small/medium initiatives contributing to company KPIs to understand impact, streamline budget and growth targets performance
- Support product & engineering leadership in the cross-domain management of large-scale programs for digital products or operational workstreams
- Collaborate with Core Operations and Agile Solutions team to maintain high accuracy of data quality for our initiatives
What you need to be successful:
Background:
- Experience in a project/program management role with a track record of leading or delivering complex products or projects
- Experience within a scaled agile environment
- Experience in a complex product development organisation is a big bonus
Coaching experience is a bonus but not mandatory
- Knowledge and preference for agile ways of working, including portfolio Kanban, multi-team planning, dependency mapping, roadmap creation/implementation
- Expertise in applying project management techniques in agile settings
- An understanding for stakeholders who don’t act in a fully agile setting and understand how to bridge both worlds
- Good communication with a skill and interest to create bi-directional understanding across diverse stakeholders
- Self-driving individual who's comfortable with ambiguity in an environment where priorities are shifting frequently
- Like to try things and get things done, isn't afraid of making mistakes
