Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Supervisor to join our team in providing quality care to individuals in need of holistic mental health and addiction services. This role is ideal for an experienced clinician in behavioral health, who is ready to take on a leadership position and make a direct impact on the quality of care delivered by our clinical team. 

As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be part of the leadership team, responsible for directing and managing clinical supervision for a care team of counselors, nurses and support specialists. This is a fully remote position which can be based anywhere in the US.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clinical Supervision: Provide individual and group supervision to clinical staff, ensuring they meet both professional and ethical standards. 
  • Case Review and Guidance: Oversee and review the cases of clinical staff, providing guidance on clinical issues related to addiction and related disorders.
  • Policy and Procedure Adherence: Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies, including documentation, reporting, and confidentiality protocols. Ensure that clinical staff adhere to best practices in treatment, and that services are delivered in a manner consistent with organizational values and goals.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other leadership team members, administrators, and support staff to ensure the smooth operation of clinical services. 
  • Clinical Documentation and Reporting: Oversee the quality of clinical documentation and ensure timely submission in accordance with program requirements. Provide regular reports to senior leadership regarding clinical performance, staff development, and key outcomes.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • General Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in the behavioral health field, familiar with addiction disorders.
  • Leadership Experience: Preferred 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in behavioral health with an administrative background.
  • Licensing: Current clinical licensure (LCSW, PMHNP) in Oregon is required. Additional certifications or training in substance use disorder treatment or related areas are a plus.
  • Remote Work Requirements: Access to a reliable internet connection and a private workspace to conduct virtual meetings and supervision sessions. 
  • Skills:
    • Clinical Caseload Management: Ability to manage a small caseload to maintain clinical skills, assess opportunities for improvement, and apply a personal perspective to clinical, operational, and systems enhancements within the organization.
    • Policy and Procedure Development: Experience in establishing and implementing new policies and procedures.
    • Payer Contracting & Revenue Cycle Management: Working knowledge of payer contracting, revenue cycle management processes, and the implementation and efficient operation of clinical operations that support these functions.
    • Performance and KPI Achievement: Experience in achieving organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to clinician utilization, retention, documentation, and overall quality of service delivery.
