Job description

This is a remote position.

Schedule:
Monday to Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST
with 1 Hour unpaid break

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Biller and Coder with an extensive background in handling Medicaid and private insurance claims, including but not limited to Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Tricare, and other major insurance providers. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of U.S. healthcare billing and coding regulations, with a strong emphasis on pediatric billing and coding compliance.



Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and submit insurance claims for pediatric services to Medicaid and private insurers.

• Ensure compliance with current pediatric billing and coding regulations.

• Manage claim denials and appeals efficiently to maximize reimbursements.

• Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility before services are rendered.

• Work closely with the front office and clinical staff to ensure proper documentation and coding.

• Stay updated with industry changes and regulatory requirements.

• Provide financial reporting and analysis related to billing performance.

• Assist with patient billing inquiries and insurance-related concerns.



Requirements
Qualifications:

• Proven experience in medical billing and coding, specifically in pediatric healthcare settings.

• Strong knowledge of Medicaid and major private insurance carriers.

• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for pediatric services.

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software.

• Certification as a Medical Coder (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work using a time tracking system (TimeDoctor)
