Job description

We have an opportunity for a Lead People Solutions Consultant – weekend  to join our HR team. You will work 50% of your time on the weekend shift (12 hours) and 50% of your time on the day shift during the week (2,5 days).

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will support the Dir, People Solutions Consulting in crafting the overall NIKE Inc. teammate experience, by delivering specialized services within the People Solutions team. In partnership with other People Solutions team members and with business leaders from the weekend shift, you will provide project and process coordination for specific HR programs and activities.

Key interactions:

  • Consultants, People Solutions: A team of HR professionals. They partner with and guide People Managers, they provide HR expertise and deliver sustainable solutions in co-creation with the business. 
  • COEs to define processes and procedures for program delivery.
  • HRBPs to support needs of teammates in their business areas or serve as escalation point.
  • Distribution leadership team of weekend shift (day and night) (Directors and managers).

Qualifications / Professional experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field or a combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
  • 5-8 years of demonstrated teammate-facing experience, demonstrating strong knowledge of the full spectrum of HR programs and policies.
  • Flexible work schedule – combination week and weekend
  • Experience in working with unions in a large organization.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Strategic:

  • Deliver core HR programs, ensuring these programs contribute to a compelling employee experience engaging with HR and meeting business and local needs.
  • Work with People Solutions Consulting Director to harmonize site and regional specific priorities in alignment with overarching goals and global standards (e.g., people solutions, total rewards, talent acquisition, employee relations and talent management initiatives).
  • Provide data, metrics and insights and partner with relevant stakeholders to develop solutions, programs and policies and influence / inform COE and Business HR strategy.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of country legal requirements related to management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Operational: 

  • Leads the delivery of integrated HR solutions across the Nike business at-scale and runs offense on complex support needs. This includes guiding Teammates through complex issues, designing and implementing scalable solutions for DC (e.g., labor relations approach, benefits adjustments, DE&I programs, employee experience, etc.), delivering training, managing policies, providing country specific legal / regulatory expertise, and delivery of unique local programs.
  • Manage complex escalations, including resolving complex inquiries and transactions and escalating the small number that cannot be resolved.
  • Monitor, review, and action on KPI achievement within the region and process responsibility.
  • Provide support for mandatory Works Council / labor relations processes.
  • In person performance management leadership support in weekend shifts.

Leadership:

  • Foster a culture of high performance and career progression across Nike through developing teammates, and leaders to deliver a seamless teammate experience.
  • Model and empower integrative thinking and delivery across all services within the ELC—constantly looking out for holistic teammate experience and partnering with other HR leaders/teams to strengthen services or launch new services.
  • Stakeholder management. Be an active and professional ambassador of HR whilst building strong relationships with your stakeholders (business, HR, unions).
  • Strategic business planning, organization design and organizational change.
  • Provide formal & informal executive coaching experience.
