Regulatory Filing Specialists are responsible for the preparation and submission of course, provider and instructor applications and renewals. The Specialist creates and maintains provider and course submission files. Regulatory Filing Specialists are responsible for reviewing and understanding regulatory statutes as they relate to licensing and continuing education.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare provider, course, instructor and/or class offering filing for Kaplan and third-party clients in accordance with state requirements. Files include initial filings and renewals
Utilize multiple systems to track filings
Provide professional, timely communication to Kaplan Departments and Regulating Agencies
Audit work for accuracy
Research regulatory requirements for education providers
Additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Associates with a focus in Regulatory, Law, Political Science or Business Administration or 4 years of equivalent professional experience
1+ Years' experience reading regulations, and related industry experience
Excellent PC skills with proficiency in Windows, Internet environment and Excel
Highly organized and detail oriented. Ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines and to manage time accordingly working in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment
Self-starter who displays initiative, is resourceful, and has a passion for ensuring quality work, holds themselves highly accountable, and brings a positive attitude to the team
Computer certification
Project Manager Credentials
Experience in Customer Service
Experience in regulatory filing and reporting
Product line knowledge
Sales Force
Google platforms knowledge

For full-time positions, Kaplan has two Salary Grades, this position is Salary Grade A. Actual compensation for this role is determined by several factors including but not limited to job level, candidate's skills, experience, and education, among other factors determined by the business.
