About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong understanding of US GAAP and advanced Excel skills to join our team. This role requires expertise in accrual accounting, reconciliations, and financial analysis. If you are highly analytical, meticulous, and have experience working with US-based accounting processes, we encourage you to apply!

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Ensure financial statements comply with US GAAP principles, including accrual basis accounting, matching principles, and revenue recognition.
✅ Prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
✅ Perform variance analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in financial reports.
✅ Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure proper journal entries.
✅ Utilize advanced Excel functions (HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, CHOOSE, etc.) for data analysis and reporting.
✅ Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including adjusting journal entries.
✅ Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
✅ Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
✅ Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance financial operations.

Qualifications:

🔹 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
🔹 3+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a US-based company or handling US clients.
🔹 Strong understanding of US GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
🔹 Advanced Excel skills are a must (HLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, CHOOSE, etc.).
🔹 Experience in account reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
🔹 Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar).
🔹 Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
🔹 Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
🔹 Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with international teams.
