Job description

About 1Password:
We all have important information we need to manage, and protecting it should be easy. Over 150,000 businesses and millions of people log in to 1Password to unlock smart, simple access to everything they care about. Our vision is to create a safer, simpler digital future for everyone, and our culture values simplicity, honesty and a human-centric approach to solving problems. Come help us unlock peace of mind so everyone can stay safer online.

We’re looking for an efficiency-driven Product Operations Manager to help us build 1Password products on a growing Product team. We want someone who’s excited about products that solve user privacy and security needs, with a passion for creating the organization and shared practices that teams need. You’ll be working with a cross-functional team that’s responsible for experiments, improving or introducing new systems and tools, and collaborating on how our Product team operates and scales.

Product Operations plays a visible role in the company and we’re looking for creative people who are comfortable managing stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders and executives. As shared owners of our roadmap, the Product Operations team is a critical influence on our team's ability to deliver.

This is a remote opportunity within Canada and the US.

What we're looking for:
  • 3-5 years of work experience, ideally in a product environment
  • Understanding of how to turn user needs into products
  • Aptitude for building high-trust partnerships up and across organizations, with technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience with tackling ambiguous problems with an ability to move to action-oriented solutions, bringing the team along with clear communication
  • Strong strategic thinker able to creatively solve problems, prioritize solutions, and motivate stakeholders to do the same
  • Genuine excitement to understand problems completely, resulting in thoughtful solutions that engage cross-functional stakeholders
  • Familiarity with roadmapping and project management tools like Productboard, Notion and Asana an asset; ability and desire to learn and teach new tools a necessity
  • An understanding of how and when process accelerates vs. decelerates teams and progress
  • Understanding of how data influences decision making
  • Naturally curious and excited to get started, learn, and inspire others

  • What you can expect:
  • Working with a passionate, highly motivated, cross-functional team that is focused on building a safer, simpler digital future for everyone
  • Being part of a high impact Product Operations team that is responsible for driving product team alignment and efficiency, and overall product delivery
  • A dynamic, highly collaborative environment
  • Empowerment to contribute to, and help drive, product strategy at a fast moving, user-focused company
  • Having fun working in a fast-paced environment and being part of the team that prioritizes close collaboration over rigid processes
  • Embrace and contribute to our diversity of perspectives, ideas, backgrounds, and strengths
  • USA-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $107,000 USD and $145,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The Annual base salary for this role is between $99,000 CAD and $135,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

At 1Password, we approach each individual's compensation with a promise of fair market value and internal equity commensurate with experience and specific skill set.

We believe in the power of remote work, but we also recognize that in-person connection is sometimes important to help us achieve our mission. While we are a remote-first company, occasional travel for in-person engagement will be a part of this role. Frequency will depend on role and responsibilities, and may include, but is not limited to, annual department-wide offsites, team meetings, and customer/industry events. These events will typically be held in varying locations across Canada and the US.

    What we offer:
