Your Mission

We are looking for a Sustainability Intern to join the BlaBlaCar team for six months, starting in March 2025.

The role of Sustainability Intern will report into the Head of Sustainability. You will be part of the Finance and Strategy team at BlaBlaCar, with the Head of Sustainability reporting directly into the CFO.

The Sustainability team is responsible for:

-BlaBlaCar’s Sustainability Strategy (ESG Roadmap; Business Cases; Carbon Trajectories; Benchmarking; Other Analysis)

-ESG reporting and external requests (CSRD; Impact Reports; Investor Requests)

-ESG data and KPIs (inc. carbon footprint and savings; all ESG data points shared publicly)

-Launching any new projects and initiatives

-Accreditations and ratings

-Carbon Credits Strategy

Your responsibilities

Join the team as an intern for 6 months to help Belinda on different projects

Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to help define BlaBlaCar’s sustainability strategy (e.g. benchmarking, emission factors computation, business case development)

Help prepare materials for key presentations including monthly Steering Committee meetings with BlaBlaCar Executive Committee members

Lead relationships with external partners for key projects (e.g. ESG KPI platform and carbon footprint)

Provide operational support to deliver ESG priorities (e.g. CSRD, policy development, communications)

Build positive relationships and coordinate with other BlaBlaCar team members for cross-functional initiatives (e.g. Product, Engineering, Finance, Strategy, Bus, Carpool, Government Relations, Communications, People teams)

Your qualifications

You are currently enrolled in a Business or Engineering School seeking a 6-month internship starting March 2025

1-3 previous internship experiences in consulting, finance, business intelligence or other relevant analytical position

Strong problem solving skills: quantitative and qualitative analysis, logical thinking

Excellent communication skills: ability/experience in synthesizing and communicating information and data clearly

Technical skills: solid knowledge of spreadsheets and presentation programs (e.g. Google Sheets and Slides)

Thorough attention to details, you take pride in your work

Thriving in a collaborative, fast-growing and innovative environment

Excited by the opportunity to take ‘day to day’ ownership for certain projects

Full working proficiency in English

Fit with our BlaBlaPrinciples

Nice to have: proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau) or previous professional sustainability experience

Note: Having an internship agreement from your school or university is mandatory. We won’t be able to proceed with your application otherwise.

A 20-min call with Belinda Saunders to round off the process and answer any final questions (optional, to be jointly determined in process)
