Reporting to the Senior Design Services Manager, the Designer is a billable position responsible for the design and development of effective visual presentations in partnership with IMS Trial Consultants.


 A successful Designer exhibits creative judgment, technical facility, materials organization, adherence to quality standards, and management of multiple design projects. The core practice includes evaluating raw materials, working from templates and standards, generating new illustrations and designs from sketches, formatting text, preparing documents and raw materials, graphic iteration, contributing to conceptual development, and utilizing quality control procedures. The Designer creates graphics and text exhibits for complex projects that convey key case themes and reflect IMS’s position as the premiere national trial communications firm.


Creates designs that illustrate concepts and communicate information in a compelling way by:

  • Interpreting data and translating it in a visually appealing solution
  • Constructing illustrations that adhere to graphic styles
  • Preparing documents for slide presentations
  • Formatting documents and text for legible display
  • Acting as Creative Lead (CL) on small to large cases
  • Partnering with Trial Consultants on case direction and design needs
  • Contributing to conceptual and creative case development
  • Creating and managing PPT templates  and the case artwork library
  • Drafting creative briefs 
  • Directing design styles and aesthetics, and providing design direction to other designers working on the case
  • Executing quality control (QC) to ensure Adherence to IMS QC guidelines for quality and accuracy of work product
  • Consistently creating high-quality work
  • Critiquing work and providing constructive feedback
  • Participating in design reviews
  • Interacting with external clients, including attending client meetings in partnership with other team members, as needed
  • Interacting independently with clients in war room settings, as needed 
  • 25% travel requirement for onsite graphics support
Requirements

 

  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office PowerPoint
  • Possesses advanced design and media production skills using Adobe Creative Suite and other related mainstream applications
  • Demonstrates storytelling skills and the ability to analogize concepts
  • Creates designs that balance message, creativity, and consistency
  • Proactively troubleshoots and solves problems creatively and effectively
  • Possesses strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, thoroughness, and dedication to quality
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time during daily work expectations and ongoing projects
  • Able to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and be flexible in a constantly changing environment, often under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrates openness to assume additional responsibilities and pitch in wherever needed
  • Demonstrates strong listening, verbal and oral communication skills

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 years of relevant design experience (information graphic design)
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficient in a Microsoft Office environment (OneNote/Word/Excel)
  • Law/consulting firm experience a plus

  • This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
