Overview
The SAP IS Oil Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting organizations that operate within the oil and gas industry. This position is centered on the effective implementation, customization, and support of SAP IS (Industry Solutions) modules designed specifically for oil and gas operations. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, configure solutions, and enhance existing processes to ensure the efficient management of petroleum resources from exploration to distribution. Given the sector's complexity and the need for regulatory compliance, the consultant must understand industry-specific challenges and integrate SAP solutions accordingly. By doing so, the consultant ensures seamless operations, helps reduce costs, and improves overall efficiency and compliance within the oil and gas supply chain. Ultimately, the SAP IS Oil Consultant is key to leveraging technology to drive business performance in this heavily regulated and capital-intensive industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and optimize SAP IS-Oil Downstream processes.
  • Work on contracts (Customer/Vendor), quotes, and pricing.
  • Handle quantity conversions and hydrocarbon product management.
  • Manage exchanges, netting, and logical inventory adjustments.
  • Oversee transportation, distribution, and shipment costing.
  • Implement TSW ticketing, nominations, and excise duty compliance.
  • Perform stock reconciliation, valuation, and logistics invoice verification.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of SAP IS-Oil Functional Configuration experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Downstream processes.
  • Expertise in logistics, pricing, excise duty, and inventory reconciliation.
  • Experience with SAP TSW, transportation planning, and workflow integration.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
