Job description

We’re Novakid School, the next-generation early English learning platform that allows kids around the world to learn English efficiently, through play and fully remote practice with native-speaking teachers.

Think cutting edge technology like AI-powered games and training apps that promote English speaking and comprehension based on the use of authentic content in English language. Think certified professionals with years and decades of expertise in children’s psychology and learning methods.

“Our Vision is to change the way ESL children learn English by making it more engaging, elective, fun, and accessible. The ability to master the English language from an early age is critical to achieving a path of greater success and fulfillment, socially, emotionally, academically and professionally.” – Max Azarov, Founder

Role Overview: as an Email Marketing Manager you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining email communications within an organization. Their primary goal is to ensure that email marketing messages display correctly across various email clients and devices, while also adhering to brand guidelines and best practices. Below is a breakdown of their main responsibilities:

  1. Email Template Development

    • Write well-structured HTML and CSS for email layouts.

    • Develop modular or responsive templates that adapt to different screen sizes.

    • Ensure cross-client compatibility (e.g., Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, mobile apps).

  2. Design and Branding

    • Collaborate with designers and marketing teams to incorporate brand styles (logos, colors, fonts) consistently.

    • Optimize graphics for faster loading and improved performance.

    • Translate design mockups into functional, responsive email templates.

  3. Testing and Quality Assurance

    • Use email testing tools (such as Litmus or Email on Acid) to preview messages in multiple clients and devices.

    • Identify rendering issues and implement fixes.

    • Check that all interactive elements (links, buttons, forms) function properly.

  4. Personalization and Dynamic Content

    • Implement conditional logic (e.g., showing/hiding content based on user data).

    • Insert personalization tokens (e.g., recipient’s first name, location, product recommendations).

    • Work closely with CRM or marketing automation systems to segment audiences effectively.

  5. Performance Optimization

    • Ensure emails load quickly and handle images efficiently.

    • Use inline CSS best practices to enhance rendering.

    • Maintain clean code structures to reduce the risk of deliverability issues.

  6. Analytics and Reporting

    • Track performance metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.

    • Collaborate with analysts and marketing teams to optimize campaigns based on results.

    • Implement A/B tests to refine subject lines, layouts, and calls to action.

  7. Compliance and Best Practices

    • Follow anti-spam regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR) and maintain unsubscribe processes.

    • Incorporate accessibility guidelines (e.g., using semantic HTML, alt text, meaningful link text).

    • Stay updated on email client changes and industry best practices.

  8. Collaboration and Coordination

    • Work closely with designers, copywriters, and marketing managers.

    • Provide technical guidance to optimize campaign ideas.

    • Report findings, project updates, and timelines to stakeholders.
