Job description

We are looking for a highly motivated and goal-oriented Project Manager to become a valuable member of our team. The MEA Innovation Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering innovation projects for North Africa. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end delivery of MEA Business Unit-led innovation and Maintenance projects necessary to achieve the growth objectives aligned with MEA's strategic priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Geo-expansions/Initiatives and maintenance projects through all stages of the Haleon innovation funnel (from Gate 0 through execution) and project set-up in project portfolio management systems

  • Facilitate local governance forum for effective decision-making.

  • Innovation performance analytics - monitoring and reporting post-launch innovation performance to achieve Innovation sales targets

  • Reporting - overseeing the monthly, quarterly, and annual market Innovation sales submissions to the Business Unit, Region, and Global Finance and Portfolio teams.

Scope of Role:

  • Proficiency in delivering innovation projects of varying complexity in a structured innovation environment

  • Proficiency in delivering assigned priority stewardship (maintenance) initiatives partnering closely with Quality Supply Chain and R&D team members.

  • Maintenance projects: being single point of contact for global teams, consolidate market needs & possible timelines etc. and monitor progress of implementation

  • Manage E2E Innovation and commercial rollout of projects for a specific market (cluster)

Leadership

  • Effective communicator who ensures alignment and support received from all stakeholders

  • Role model HALEON behaviours of consumer first always, collaborate for impact, unlock value at pace and grow myself and others

  • Strong partnership with the Project Accountable Lead, providing confidence and competence necessary to take on the most challenging objectives and drive accountability.

  • Proficiency in driving resolution of team conflicts through skilled negotiation and diplomacy, elevating to accountable functional leaders as necessary.

  • Co-lead efforts to embed PM best practices as part of overall business capability building.

  • Foster an environment of enthusiasm, accountability and teamwork, and help reward and celebrate achievements.

Project Management

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.

  • Accountable for building project team (functions, people) upon project approval, partnering closely with cross-functional leadership.

  • Guide core teams to ensure timely decision making, effective stakeholder communication, adherence to applicable processes, contingency planning and execution.

  • Assuring there is a clear project scope and strategy, aligned resource needs, comprehensive spend forecasts.

  • Create timelines with tasks and monitor the process through recurrent call for follow-up actions & check list until launch date (also for Global Led projects and new launches supported by EMEA PM).

  • Develop & maintain comprehensive timelines in PPM system with cross-functional input, by integrating key functional deliverables and local market launch activities, considering dependencies and resource requirements.

  • Assure accuracy of assigned projects’ content in PPM system working closely with data owners from cross-functional project team.

  • Drives functional area’s probability of success assessments in support of portfolio pipeline activities

  • Proficiency in proactively identifying issues and drive resolution, with limited guidance, and assure comprehensive risk assessment and mitigation plan is in place for all projects.

  • Ensure significant changes to the aligned business case are communicated rapidly and efficiently to appropriate leadership (via existing change control process)

  • Drive gate readiness partnering closely with Project Accountable Lead and action any gate meeting outcomes with broader project team.

  • Conduct lessons learned with project teams, document, and assure dissemination out to organization as best practice.

  • Develop, align and track project budget, rapidly communicating variance.

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5 years marketing, brand management, innovation experience focused on complex projects management.

  • 3 to 5 years of solid project management experience.

  • Experience leading multi-faceted projects, influencing various functions within a complex organization to deliver successful and timely projects.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and influence in a matrixed organization (large, diverse teams, peer groups, senior stakeholders).

  • Effective communication skills – capable of managing multiple stakeholders and driving decisions.

  • A positive mindset with the ability to motivate a cross-functional team.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience in Analytics and Facility with P&Ls including ability to build business cases

  • Entrepreneurial experience

  • Ability to adapt and work effectively within a variety of situations including organizational changes and changes in job demands

  • Comfortable challenging status-quo. Proactive in identifying, leading and implementing change initiatives.
