The Social Epidemiology to Combat Unjust Residential Evictions (SECURE) study is funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. In partnership with a Community Advisory Board of Black women leaders, the SECURE study is documenting, for the first time, the magnitude and severity of court-ordered and illegal residential evictions, as well as their impact on the health of Black families and communities in Metro-Detroit, MI.

The SECURE study research associate will be responsible for qualitative and quantitative analysis, and dissemination efforts. They will participate in data cleaning, data analysis, as well as training and support of any additional hired personnel for the project. The research associate will assist in developing manuscripts and broadly disseminating products of the research project to public and academic audiences, and other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. 

Additional Information:

Required Experience:
4-5 years of relevant experience required.


Desired Experience:
1. Prior experience conducting community-based participatory action research using mixed methods.
2. Prior experience performing quantitative epidemiologic methods with relevant statistical software (multi-
level analyses, longitudinal data analysis).
3. Record of scholarly productivity including writing for scientific or community audiences (peer-reviewed
publications, white papers, briefs, infographics, print or video products for social impact etc.).
4. Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.


Required Education:

Master's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; MPH in epidemiology highly desired.


Desired Education:

Formal training or experience in relevant social impact fields.
