The Associate Vice President, Creative Marketing is responsible for leading the University’s Web Team managing both front-end and back-end aspects of the University’s Web ecosystem. This includes developing and executing digital strategies, ensuring an efficient user experience for prospective and current students, and implementing new technology under the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Brand Storytelling's guidance. This position will own the digital roadmap and implementation of new technology to create process efficiencies and provide an improved user experience for prospective and current students. In addition, they will collaborate with the University’s Creative and Strategic Marketing teams to ensure projects and solutions are aligned with business objectives. They will implement web-based solutions that serve the needs of other teams across the University and will coordinate with the social media team to explore new organic media opportunities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage daily operations and maintenance of the University's web ecosystem.
- Provide direction to and manage team updating the University’s website, creating and coding web content and tracking all associated deadlines.
- Oversee Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), and website performance improvement projects.
- Collaborate with Strategic Marketing on paid digital media campaigns and digital marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness and student inquiries.
- Lead marketing and web technology projects, integrating with other systems and managing development resources.
- Optimize web properties for search engines, digital and social media traffic, conduct regular testing, and eliminate redundant content.
- Implement site governance, web content management processes, and technical support standards.
- Respond to website issues and lead the Web team in project planning, execution, and deployment.
- Utilize third-party vendors effectively and manage digital data programs for marketing decisions.
- Translate web data analytics into insights for marketing plans and participate in all project phases, including development and design.
- Coordinate large-scale website development projects in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Research and implement new web technologies and trends.
- Support digital content needs across the university and collaborate with Strategic Marketing to enhance web content delivery and user experience.
- Manage the acquisition of new technology and monitor the departmental budget.
- Develop performance metrics to improve website activity and user experience and manage the rebuild of the main University’s website.
- Analyze and recommend strategies for the entire web ecosystem, including improvement, deletion, and remodeling of websites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relative field preferred.
- 5 or more years of experience at a web design agency, preferably with 3+ years’ experience in Project Management or SEO
- Preference for client facing or stakeholder management roles, as working with internally stakeholders is essential to success in this role
- Experience working with cross functional teams; they should be comfortable giving constructive feedback to designers, developers, content creators, etc.
- Experience track record of success working in university marketing
- Experience developing and implementing a web ecosystem for a university
- Demonstrated knowledge, and expertise with Educational Marketing, Strategic Marketing, and Branding.
- Proven leadership with executing a successful marketing digital strategy.
- Proven strategic leadership in planning with ebbs and flows of the higher education market that leads to significant growth and success for the university.
- Current on marketing and branding strategies surrounding the latest academic programs and trends to make our university more competitive.
- Able to thrive in a dynamic and deadline-driven environment

Compensation:
$100,000 - $125,000 based on experience and location
