Roadway Project Manager II

Our growing Atlanta team is hiring a Project Manager. This is an experienced position involving exciting, challenging, and complex assignments with opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills and will have 16+ years of experience in design of roadways, highways, and interstates. On our team, you will have the opportunity to work on various infrastructure projects for State DOT’s, local municipalities and private clients. You will regularly interact and coordinate designs efforts with the multiple projects and disciplines to develop turnkey projects.

The Impact You Will Have:
  • Manage project teams, accountable for budget and schedule
  • Contribute to local, regional, and corporate strategic growth initiatives including expansion of transportation planning, traffic engineering, and road and bridge design services
  • Participate in Business Development and Marketing, including networking, preparation of SOQs, proposals, and contracts.
  • Research local/state regulations as they pertain to transit agency planning and other requirements.
  • Develop and manage relationships with new and existing clients
  • Represent Benesch at industry and professional engagement events
  • Identify opportunities and lead strategic project pursuits
  • Collaborate on regional growth strategy
What You Will Need:
  • BSCE or related discipline
  • Professional Engineer licensure in Georgia
  • Experience working with the Georgia DOT and/or local agencies 
  • Progressive experience in project development and delivery of Transportation Planning and/or Traffic and Transportation Engineering and Design services
  • Progressive experience working directly with clients developing relationships, with proven ability to win work
  • Excellent communication, business development, project management, and client relation skills
  • Strong communication, organization and leadership skills with a track record for understanding and adhering to contractual requirements
  • Ability to lead, manage and grow a dynamic team #LI-MF1
