Job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven General Manager to lead the expansion and growth of our Cinema and Bowling facilities in Cambodia. This leadership role focuses on business development, customer base expansion, and strategic direction in sales, marketing, and operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and marketing, with a proven ability to develop and execute strategies that drive growth, enhance brand awareness, and create an exceptional customer experience across all business operations.

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership across all departments, making key decisions to optimize performance, maximize revenue, and achieve sales and sponsorship targets, while controlling costs. You must thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with peak cycles, and be able to deliver results consistently.

You will also ensure alignment of business operations and policies with the broader corporate strategy, working closely with the CEO and top management in Thailand. Job Scope:

Cinema and Bowling Business

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to drive business growth, with a focus on expanding the customer base and increasing market share for the cinema and bowling operations.
  • Oversee the operations functions of the Business, operating controls, policies, procedures, customer service, sales and marketing opportunities prospect
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and areas for expansion, including potential, services, and partnership opportunities.
  • Oversee/ manage on-going profitability, ensuring revenue and customer satisfaction targets are met and exceeded
  • Analyze operational performance against the Annual Business Plan making recommendations and implementing actions, be a main contact point with movie distributors and negotiate a movie deal
  • Ensured all administration is compliant with legislation and company processes and standards, e.g. Digital, Retail, Stock, Partnership, Health & Safety, Employee, Finance

Marketing and Sponsorship:

  • Oversee strategic sponsorship and partner planning, build great connections with potential business partners and sponsors, maintain relationship with existing sponsorships, and always find new opportunities.
  • Oversee and ensure the effectiveness of Marketing Strategies for the company overall to achieve revenue and guest count targets.
  • Increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and retention.

Human Resource

  • Oversee and ensure company rules, policies, proper process is in place.
  • Set & review Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of each Business Unit/ Function, including monitoring their performance effectively
  • Lead/ Manage/ Coach/ Give suggestions and directions to key leader of each function, or staff to unleash their potentials
  • Plan, Monitor, Follow-up overall tasks/ projects and their progress, including giving advice to help key leader cross obstacles

Finance

  • Work with management to develop annual budgets to accurately forecast financial performance and to deliver financial results in accordance with those budgets, including control budgets

Qualifications Required:

  • Strong expertise in Cambodia law and company compliance standards.
  • Strong expertise in Sales and Marketing, with a demonstrated ability to build brands, drive customer acquisition, and enhance customer retention.
  • A proven ability in leading teams to deliver objectives and achieve the annual business plan Focus on admission Concession and Sponsorship revenue
  • Proven experience in strategic business management, preferably within the cinema, entertainment, or retail sectors.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on inspiring and empowering teams to meet strategic goals.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with complex transactions.
  • High connection network in varied group/ community

Education:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in business, management, economics, finance, marketing or related field

Experience:

  • At least 10+ years management experience
  • At least 5+ years in senior director level, or CEO role, with proven track record of result driven strategic program or other accomplishment

Characteristics/Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • High interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Multi-tasking skills, able to prioritize the work and handle in efficient manner

Language & Computer

  • Proficient in English (written & spoken)
