Corporate Tax Manager

Overview

An excellent opportunity exists for a Corporate Tax Manager to join a highly performing, collaborative tax team within a leading professional services firm. This position offers modern working arrangements including a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working options.

About the Role

As a Manager in our client's Melbourne Corporate Tax team, you will lead a knowledgeable team in providing bespoke solutions for businesses across diverse industries. The role involves helping clients navigate complex challenges including tax audits, international tax issues, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and deliver tailored technical income tax advice

- Manage client relationships and ensure compliance with related party loans, tax planning, and structuring

- Oversee tax compliance and governance for large client groups, including significant trusts

- Support clients through dynamic transactions

- Provide expert advice on business structuring and conduct tax due diligence

- Address complex tax issues in cross-border investments and structures

- Manage revenue office submissions, reviews, and audits

- Deliver tax advisory support to the wider professional network

- Coach, support, and lead team members, including delivering technical training

- Engage in business development opportunities

Required Skills and Experience

- University degree in Accounting/Finance, Business/Commerce, Legal, or relevant discipline

- CA/CPA, CTA, or equivalent industry accreditation(s)

- Proven experience in corporate tax and advisory, ideally in public practice

- Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching and mentoring

- Strong client relationship management skills with ability to identify growth opportunities

- Track record of accountability and ownership in professional roles
