Organizational Change Manager – School District
Salary: $100-$165k
Location: Los Angeles, CA Hybrid (Remote possible)


Sabot Consulting is seeking an Organizational Change Manager to manage the implementation of a scalable, cloud-based ERP system. This system will streamline and optimize business operations across
departments, enhancing operational efficiency, data visibility, and scalability to meet future
business needs. The consultant will oversee and manage all key phases of the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, & monitoring. The Project Manager will ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while adhering to best practices in change management and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the scope of the project to ensure objectives are met within the defined boundaries
  • Manage project scope, track tasks, and handle change orders to ensure objectives are met within defined boundaries.
  • Conduct an organizational readiness assessment to evaluate how prepared teams are for the changes associated with the ERP implementation. 
  • Identify any gaps in readiness & develop strategies to address them.
  • Develop & execute a comprehensive training program for all end users & administrators. 
  • Tailor training to different roles & responsibilities within the organization. 
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet standards.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and update the risk log.
  • Administer requests for changes in project scope or budget through a formal Project Change Request process.
  • Ensure changes are documented, reviewed, and approved before implementation.
  • Identify stakeholders & ensure that they are engaged throughout the project life cycle.
  • Develop a communication plan that informs stakeholders of project goals, timelines, and potential impacts on their roles.
  • Conduct status calls, track and resolve issues, and provide regular status reports.
  • Prepare and deliver necessary project documentation, ensuring organization and submission to stakeholders.
  • Administer and document project scope or budget changes through a formal process.
  • Support executive steering committee, develop agendas, and maintain decision logs.
  • Engage stakeholders, conduct readiness assessments, develop training programs, and manage resistance.
  • Develop and maintain project budget, track expenditures, report variances, and ensure compliance with financial policies.
Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of change management and risk mitigation best practices
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with County level educational business structures and IT Teams
  • Experience with school board/director level IT change management and system implementations
  • PMI-PMP certification
  • Prosci or CCMP certification
