About This Opportunity:
As the Software Developer in Test Manager, you will lead a team of Software Developers, focusing on all aspects of testing within their projects. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, to provide guidance and support where needed. This role offers a great opportunity to deepen your expertise in .NET C# while contributing to a collaborative and innovative environment.
Your responsibilities will include testing UI, API, and databases for Angular and .NET applications, as well as automating mobile app testing using tools like Postman and Cypress. You’ll also play a key role in troubleshooting defects with SQL queries, leveraging CI/CD technologies, and driving innovation to deliver effective and efficient solutions.
Things You’ll Do Here:
- Act as the primary point of contact for other departments regarding assigned applications, ensuring quality and testing excellence.
- Triage support requests, address client-reported issues, and create Product Backlog Items (PBIs) as needed.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members, resolving challenges and fostering skill development.
- Take ownership of the team’s testing suite, continuously striving to enhance code quality.
- Lead initiatives to meet project requirements and timelines effectively.
- Champion innovation and address technical debt within the application test suite.
- Conduct peer reviews and approve changes to the QA code base for assigned applications.
- Deliver training sessions or demonstrations on applications as required.
- Develop and optimize automated QA coverage for web and mobile applications and services.
- Monitor automated test results, document bugs, and triage issues promptly.
- Analyze defect trends and create proactive QA tests to address recurring issues.
- Execute UI, API, and database testing for Angular, .NET, and Python applications using tools like Cypress.
- Develop automation scripts for cross-platform and native mobile applications (Swift, Kotlin).
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Create and utilize SQL queries to investigate application behavior and troubleshoot defects.
- Configure and maintain continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) automation technologies.
- Plan, track, and collaborate on work using an Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) suite, such as Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, client advocates, and product stakeholders to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Propose innovative solutions to complex problems and contribute to team discussions and strategy.
- Actively participate in agile processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure efficient project execution.
- Facilitate team meetings and discussions as needed.
- Manage and evaluate the performance of a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) team to ensure successful sprint completion.
- Drive Quality Engineering architecture and strategic decisions.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Six (6) or more years of Software Development or QA automation experience.
- Academic degree, completion of a coding bootcamp, or prior work experience in software development/QA is required.
- Consistently deliver high-impact projects on time.
- Proficient in tracking projects and issues using ALM tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps, and Jira.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and CI/CD technologies.
- Skilled in using Git for version control and code management.
- Experienced with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
- Adept at identifying and reporting product bugs constructively.
- Ability to comprehend complex software products and interdependent business requirements.
- Deep knowledge of QA, DevOps, CI/CD, and related technologies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and capability for self-direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with strong active listening and communication abilities.
- Proven experience mentoring peers on technical QA topics.
